Tigers reliever Bobby Seay underwent successful shoulder surgery Wednesday and will begin throwing in a few months.
↵Seay tore his rotator cuff last year and hasn't thrown a single pitch for the Tigers this year. He tried making a non-surgical recovery, but eventually decided to go that route. Seay is a free agent after this year, so even if he makes a full comeback it might not be with the Tigers.
↵Seay has a career 11-6 record with a 4.16 ERA and 190 strikeouts, mostly as a middle reliever.
