Pat White (no relation to the former West Virginia quarterback of the same name) has left the Michigan State football program and requested to transfer. White, a redshirt freshman safety, dropped on the depth chart during camp, which could be the reason for his departure.
↵↵↵White was passed in camp by true freshman Isaiah Lewis and was not in the two deep at the end of camp. He has not yet chosen a destination. This is a hit to MSU's depth, and from watching drills going back to last season, I always thought White looked like a future player. Someone will get a good one.

MSU's depth chart at free safety has Trenton Robinson starting and the aforementioned Isaiah Lewis backing him up. Jesse Johnson is now the third-string FS with White leaving the team.
↵9/24 UPDATE: White has transferred to Cincinnati.
