Larry Caper Expected To Play Despite Hand Injury

Michigan State running back Larry Caper is dealing with an unknown hand injury that requires him to wear a cast, but Mark Dantonio says he is expected to play on Saturday against Western Michigan.

Dantonio said Caper is expected to play, and that his hand would be tested prior to the game before a decision is made Saturday. He is listed as an "or" starter at tailback with Edwin Baker. Le’Veon Bell, a true freshman, is listed at the backup.

"It’s good to be back here on game week," Dantonio said. "We’re ready to go."

Caper rushed for 468 yards and six touchdowns as a true freshman in 2009.
