Pistons: Greg Monroe Given 'Full Clearance' After Successful Toe Surgery

As we noted earlier this summer, Detroit Pistons first round draft pick Greg Monroe underwent surgery on his right foot.

Keith Langlois of Pistons.com reports today that Monroe has been cleared by doctors to “resume activity” following the surgery. Monroe said he was excited about the good news.

“I’ve been lifting and doing core this whole time,” he said, “but I haven’t been able to run. I’m able to, first off, just walk around with shoes all day. Before that, just putting on shoes and walking around was a pain. I’m able to walk around in shoes comfortably – that’s a big difference already. If I can wear shoes, I’m pretty sure that getting on the court and moving around will be a big difference, too.”
