On Monday, the Red Wings started trimming down their training camp roster by sending 13 players back to their junior teams:
Those players are forwards Darren Archibald (Barrie), Louis-Marc Aubry (Montreal), Mitchell Callahan (Kelowna), Landon Ferraro (Everett), Antonin Honejsek (Moose Jaw), Stephen Johnston (Windsor), Brooks Macek (Tri-City) and Andrej Nestrasil (PEI), defensemen Alex Cord (Oakville), Gleason Fournier (Rimouski), Brenden Kichton (Spokane) and Marc Zanetti (Ottawa) and goaltender Petr Mrazek (Ottawa).
With all of those players out of the equation, the Red Wings had 51 guys left on the roster, enough to field two teams in the Red and White game, which was held on Tuesday.
