Five Lions starters missed practice today, including quarterback Matthew Stafford, whose status is still unknown, although he hasn't been ruled out by the Lions yet.
Wide receiver Nate Burleson also was absent from practice today. His status hasn't been made public officially, although fellow receiver Stefan Logan said that Burleson will be out two to three weeks with a high ankle sprain. While Burleson didn't rule himself out the Vikings game, a high ankle sprain would sideline him for this week at the very least.
The other offensive player out today was offensive guard Stephen Peterman. He got banged up during the Eagles game when his ankle/leg was rolled onto by another player.
On defense, linebacker Zack Follett and safety Louis Delmas were out. Follett was a bit woozy against Philadelphia after a big hit on a kickoff, so it's possible he has a concussion, in which case he would have to pass tests to play on Sunday. Delmas may just be taking his usual day off from practice, although he looked to be in rough shape this past Sunday, limping quite a bit toward the end of the game.
