One more cut that took place just before Ko Simpson’s release: the Lions released wide receiver Brian Clark, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
As Pride of Detroit mentions, this likely means Dennis Northcutt has made the team. And he could be the team’s primary punt returner, putting Derrick Williams’ status in question if Detroit decides to keep just four wide receivers.
Clark was signed back in March, after spending the previous three seasons with Tampa Bay. In 2009, he had six receptions for 65 yards in 14 games.
