The Detroit Tigers recalled second baseman Scott Sizemore on Tuesday, marking his first appearance on the roster since late July. Sizemore began the season as the starting second baseman for the Tigers, but he was sent down in mid-May, called back up in July and then sent down to Toledo again a week or so later.
↵This stint for Sizemore will likely not see him play all that much, as Will Rhymes has been doing extremely well at second base lately. Instead Sizemore will be used situationally, according to Jim Leyland.
↵↵↵"I think he's healthy now, so we'll use him to pinch-run or play a game ... maybe not," manager Jim Leyland said. "I don't know. Pinch-hit for somebody, put him in, or something. I'm not going to play him over Rhymes, I'm not going to play him over Inge. If I were going to do that, I should have had him before."

Sizemore will just have to make the most of the few opportunities he gets in the final weeks of the season.
