The San Francisco 49ers got a surprise on Saturday during their final walk-through at Eastern Michigan. The 49ers were using EMU's practice facility in preparation before Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions, but he walkthrough was cut short when wind damaged the facility in the middle of it:

↵↵A 49ers spokesman said a loud noise startled everyone inside and the 49ers finished their practice on a muddy field. No one was injured. "We got outside and didn't take any chances," 49ers spokesman Bob Lange said Sunday morning.
↵According to Lange, the wind tore about a 15-foot hole into the side of the bubble, lights started swaying from the roof and the 49ers headed out to a nearby soccer field to finish the walk-through. The 49ers were still stretching when the incident occured, at about 1:15 p.m.
↵Only once this year have the 49ers conducted their day-before-game practices at the site of their ensuing game, that occurring three weeks ago at Cincinnati's Paul Brown Stadium. The following week, the 49ers did their walk-through (generally a short practice without pads, uniforms or helmets) at a Philadelphia-area high school.
