The Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans will both put their top 25 credentials on the line this week, though it should be a relatively quiet and probably harmless week for both teams.
Michigan, ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the ESPN/USA Today poll, play a pair of games against Southwestern Athletic Conference teams, hosting the 1-5 Arkansas Pine-Bluff Golden Lions on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET and then hosting the 2-3 Alabama A&M Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. ET on Dec. 17. The Wolverines have won two straight, having most recently defeated the Iowa State Cyclones and Oakland Golden Grizzlies, and stand 7-2 overall.
Meanwhile, Michigan State joined the Wolverines in both Top 25 polls after knocking off previously No. 22 Gonzaga Zags 74-67 on Dec. 10. The Spartans, ranked No. 21 in the AP and No. 23 in the ESPN/USA Today poll, play just one game this week, as they host the 5-4 Bowling Green Falcons on Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
