The Detroit Red Wings find themselves on yet another hot streak, having won three games in a row following an emphatic 4-1 trouncing of the Pittsburgh Penguins on the road on Tuesday night.

Detroit faces off against the Nashville Predators in Nashville on Thursday having won its previous three games by a combined score of 16-4. This marks just the most recent winning streak for Detroit, which has made a habit of alternating winning streaks with losing streaks this year. In addition to their current three-game run, the Red Wings have previously put together win streaks of seven, five and four games this season.

Meanwhile, the Predators enter the game sporting a three-game winning streak themselves, though their wins have been much closer affairs: Nashville has won each of its three in a row by a single goal margin against Columbus (4-3 in OT), Anaheim (3-2) and Calgary (2-1). One player for Detroit to keep an eye on is Colin Wilson, who has scored a couple goals during the winning streak, including the overtime game-winner against the Blue Jackets.

Detroit enters this game in second place with 39 points while Nashville is in fourth with 34 points, in a match between Central Division teams.

The teams have squared off once so far this season, with Detroit handling Nashville a 4-1 loss at home on Nov. 26. They play each other four more times after this game, so they will be getting mighty familiar with each other in the final months of the regular season.

The game starts at 8 p.m. ET.
