NCAA Bracket Update: Michigan Will Play Duke On Sunday

As everyone expected, there was no miraculous upset of No. 1 seed Duke this afternoon. The Blue Devils rolled over No. 16 seed Hampton by a score of 87-45 to advance to the third round of the 2011 NCAA men's basketball tournament. The victory means Duke will meet up with No. 8 seed Michigan, which beat Tennessee earlier in the afternoon by 30 points.

Sunday's game between the Wolverines and Blue Devils will be the two teams' first meeting since 2008. Michigan and Duke played twice within a span of two weeks, with the Blue Devils winning at Madison Square Garden and the Wolverines winning at home. The win over Duke helped Michigan make the NCAA tournament for the first time in a decade, and now, two seasons later, the two teams are set to meet in the Big Dance.

What is on the line in the Michigan/Duke game is a trip to the Sweet 16 in Anaheim. The winner will be one of four teams left in the West Region bracket and will be two wins away from reaching the Final Four.

The start time and TV details for Sunday's game will be announced at the conclusion of the rest of today's games.
