Big Ten Tournament 2011 Bracket Now Official

Ohio State demolished Wisconsin at home to cap off the Big Ten's 2010-11 regular season. The Buckeyes were already the outright champions going into this game, so the outcome of this game did not affect the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten tournament. However, this game locked in Purdue as the No. 2 seed in Indianapolis and Wisconsin as the No. 3 seed. The other seeds were already locked in place before this game.

With the top three seeds now set in stone, here is what the Big Ten tournament bracket looks like:

No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 8 Northwestern/No. 9 Minnesota

No. 4 Michigan vs. No. 5 Illinois

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No. 2 Purdue vs. No. 7 Michigan State/No. 10 Iowa

No. 3 Wisconsin vs. No. 6 Penn State/No. 11 Indiana

The Northwestern/Minnesota, Michigan State/Iowa and Penn State/Indiana games will be held on Thursday. Michigan and Illinois will play their first game on Friday, as will Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin. The semifinals will take place on Saturday and feature a matchup between the teams that make it out of the top part of the bracket and a matchup with the teams left on the bottom of the bracket. The championship game is a week from today.
