Michigan Football Recruiting: Shane Morris Becomes 1st 2013 Commit

Brady Hoke and the Michigan football program have gotten off to a scorching hot start with their 2012 recruiting class. The momentum generated by Hoke has led to 10 total commits for the 2012 class already. It also has led to one commit for the 2013 class. Warren De La Salle quarterback Shane Morris decided to go ahead and pledge to become a Wolverine on Tuesday, ending his recruitment well before anybody expected.

Since Morris is a 2013 recruit, he has not been evaluated yet by any of the major recruiting sites. When he is a year from now, it is expected that Morris will be ranked as one of the top pro-style quarterbacks for the 2013 class.

Morris' offer list includes Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Syracuse and a few schools from the MAC. Chances are his offer list will grow quite a bit by this time next year, although some schools may not see it as worth the time to recruit him since he is already committed to Michigan.
