After starting the season trading long winning streaks with long losing streaks, the Detroit Red Wings have traded wins with losses back and forth over the past seven games. If that patterns holds true, the Red Wings will come out on top when they take on the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

Detroit will aim to recover from an embarrassing 5-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday. Since the Red Wings are 15-2-1 at Joe Louis Arena this season, they will be happy to be home after a four-game road trip.

The Red Wings enter the game in fifth place in the Western Conference with 53 points, four points off the first-place Vancouver Canucks, while the Phoenix Coyotes are in seventh place with 46 points, three points off the eighth-place Los Angeles Kings.

Thursday's game, the first of three straight home games for Detroit, is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. eastern.
