Looking for a fifth straight win, the Orlando Magic hold a narrow lead over the Detroit Pistons, on top 46-44 at halftime at The Palace At Auburn Hills in Detroit.
Ben Gordon leads the Pistons with 17 points on 6-10 shooting from the field, while Jonas Jerebko, coming off a 20-point, 12-rebound game against the Pacers, has added 6 points and 5 rebounds for Detroit.
The Pistons are aiming for consecutive home wins after topping the Indiana Pacers 96-88 on Saturday. But they have not been able to stop the Magic, who are shooting 56.7 % from the field. Among the hot hands for the Magic are Ryan Anderson, with 11 points, and J.J. Redick, with 8 points off the bench. Dwight Howard leads Orlando with 12 points at the break.
The Magic have won four straight since a 97-89 Christmas night loss in Oklahoma City to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are now 5-0.
