After starting the season with three straight losses, the Detroit Pistons have found something of a groove, scoring their second straight win with an 89-78 decision over the Orlando Magic on Monday night at The Palace At Auburn Hills.
The Pistons held the Magic to 32 points in the second half, and Ben Gordon had the hottest hand for Detroit, as the starting shooting guard shot 8-15 from the field, 2-3 on three pointers and 8-9 at the free throw line to total 26 points. And the classic scorer found time to dish out 6 assists as well.
Jonas Jerebko added 8 points and 11 rebounds for Detroit, while first round draft pick Brandin Knight chipped in with 9 points and 3 assists in 21 minutes off the bench.
The Pistons next take on the 4-1 Chicago Bulls, current co-leaders of the Central Division, on Wednesday. That game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. eastern time.
