Play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson will return to the Big Ten network for his fifth year as a men's basketball announcer for the network this season.
Johnson has been with the Big Ten Network since the 2008-09 season, but is most well known for his work on CBS and Fox. Johnson worked for CBS from 1996 through 2011, at which point he moved to Fox. Johnson called both NFL and college basketball games for CBS, including announcing college basketball during March Madness. At Fox he announces college football and NFL games. He is also the play-by-play voice of the Madden video games.
The other play-by-play announcers for the Big Ten Network this season will be Justin Kutcher, Eric Collins, Kevin Kugler, Dave Revsine, Brian Anderson, Tom Hamilton, and Wayne Larrivee. The analysts for the Big Ten Network will be Sam Vincent, Mike Kelley, Scoonie Penn, Sean Harrington, Jim Jackson, Shon Morris, Greg Kelser, Dan Bonner, Steve Smith, and Eddie Johnson.
