Seahawks vs. Lions injury report: Concussions take toll on Detroit secondary

Detroit will be without both Amari Spievey and Jacob Lacey against the Seahawks, as each are out with head injuries.

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

The Lions will be down a second defensive back due to a concussion, as safety Amari Spievey and cornerback Jacob Lacey will both miss Sunday's Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks due to head injuries.

Lacey originally suffered his concussion during a Week 6 game against the Eagles and will miss a second consecutive game for the Lions, while Spievey will miss his first after suffering the head injury against the Bears on Monday night.

Linebacker DeAndre Levy is unlikely to play, as the fourth-year linebacker is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury. Defensive end Cliff Avril, wide receiver Titus Young, safety Louis Delmas and cornerback Bill Bentley are all listed as questionable for Sunday.

The Seahawks injury report is much slimmer, listing only five players, but also features two players listed as out and one as doubtful. Both wide receiver Doug Baldwin and cornerback Byron Maxwell have been ruled out for Sunday's game, while defensive tackle Jason Jones is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury that caused him to miss practice all week.
