Denard Robinson injury: Michigan QB suffered nerve injury against Nebraska

After landing awkwardly on his throwing elbow following a run in the second quarter against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson left the game and didn't return. Michigan head coach Brady Hoke confirmed Robinson re-aggravated a nerve injury he suffered against Illinois earlier this season.

Michigan fans can breathe a sigh of relief though. Hoke said Robinson should start next Saturday when the Wolverines travel to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Hoke noted this type of injury usually just requires rest and time to allow Robinson to recover.

Redshirt freshman Russell Bellomy replaced Robinson for the rest of quarter and second half. He completed just three passes in the rest of the game and tossed three picks in Michigan's 23-9 loss to the Cornhuskers in Lincoln.

The loss helped vault the Cornhuskers into first place ahead of the Wolverines in the Legends division of the Big Ten Conference.
