Sophomore defensive end Frank Clark missed the Michigan Wolverines game in Lincoln against the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday with an ankle injury. Just as senior quarterback Denard Robinson, who was injured in the second quarter against the Cornhuskers, is expected back next week, head coach Brady Hoke says Clark should be back in the lineup as well.
Sophomore Brennen Beyer started at weak side defensive end for the third straight week. Freshman Mario Ojemudia also took snaps at the position where he picked off a Taylor Martinez pass on the first drive of the third quarter.
Clark has 11 tackles in the five games he's played in this season. Michigan's offense struggled under back-up quarterback Russell Bellomy as the Cornhuskers took down the Wolverines 23-9. With the win, Nebraska takes the lead in the Legends division of the Big Ten. The Wolverines travel to Minneapolis next weekend to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
