Calvin Johnson injury: Lions WR misses practice again to rest sore knee

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson missed practice on Thursday to rest his sore knee.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson missed practice again on Thursday to rest his sore knee. Johnson said he missed back-to-back practices to get as healthy as possible for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Johnson has yet to miss any games this season, but hurt his knee during the Lions Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears. In the last two weeks Johnson has caught only six passes for 80 yards. On the season Johnson has 41 receptions for 638 yards and one touchdown. He is on pace to fall well short of his 2011 totals of 96 receptions for 1,681 yards and 16 touchdowns.

The Lions are 3-4 on the season and rank second in passing offense with 316.0 yards per game. Johnson still leads all Lions receivers in receptions and yards, but it seems as if Matthew Stafford is spreading the ball around a little bit more this season.
