The Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes, 13-7, Friday at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. With the Nebraska win, the Cornhuskers clinched the Big Ten Legends Division title and eliminated the Michigan Wolverines from Big Ten Championship Game contention.

The victory improved the Cornhuskers to 10-2 overall and 7-1 in Big Ten play. Michigan could get to 7-1 in the Big Ten and earn a share of the Legends Division title with a win over Ohio State Buckeyes Saturday, but Nebraska holds the head-to-head tiebreaker with the Wolverines. The Huskers defeated Michigan, 23-9, Oct. 27 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

The Wolverines, 8-3 overall and No. 19 in the latest BCS standings, could still make a BCS bowl, but they will need help. A win over Ohio State is necessary, and Michigan needs losses by at least two teams ahead of it to move up into the top 16 of the BCS Standings. No. 16 Texas lost at home to TCU, 20-13, Thursday night.

Michigan and Ohio State meet Saturday at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. Kickoff is set for noon ET, and the game will be televised by ABC.
