The Detroit Pistons lost to the Oklahoma City 105-94 Friday, but the result isn't so important even if it drops the Pistons to 0-6 in the season. For the first time, Detroit's young big men Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe saw the court at the same time, and the results were positive.
Drummond had 22 points (8-for-10 shooting) with eight rebounds, a block and a steal in 21 minutes off the bench. Monroe struggled with his shot (6-for-15), but he had 14 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three blocks. When he and Drummond finally got on the court together, Monroe assisted easy Drummond buckets on their first two possessions together.
The Pistons had an early lead, 19-18 after the first quarter, and got within three points in the third quarter, but Oklahoma City never lost the lead after gaining it in the first half. Serge Ibaka and Kevin Durant each scored 25 points for Oklahoma City and Kevin Martin had 16 points off the bench.
