For the first time in the Daytona 500's 54-year history, the race has been postponed. The green flag will now drop at noon ET on Monday, reports SB Nation's Jeff Gluck:
OFFICIAL: DAYTONA 500 POSTPONED until noon tomorrow. #NASCAR

It had been raining for most of the day, which made it dangerous for cars on the track. After delaying the start of the race for a few hours, there was a point when the track began its drying process, but the rain just picked up again.
Though the race is scheduled for noon on Monday, it may not be possible to get the race in since thunderstorms, or at least rain, is expected. There might be a window on Monday night for the race to happen, but if not, Tuesday appears to have clear skies ahead.
