Detroit Vs. Loyola: No. 3-Seed Titans Start Horizon Tourney Tuesday

Having won nine of its last 11, Detroit takes on Loyola in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament on Tuesday.

Detroit will tip off in the Horizon League basketball tournament on Tuesday and face Loyola at 7 p.m. ET.

Detroit, which has won nine of 11 games heading into the tournament, was part of a three-way tie for third place in the Horizon. Because of tiebreakers, Detroit was awarded the No. 3 spot, while fellow 11-7 squads Milwaukee and Butler were Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.

The Titans are 2-0 against Loyola this season. They won 65-54 in Chicago back on Dec. 31, and then by 15, 67-52, on Jan. 25 in Detroit.

Should the Titans win, they will take on the winner of Youngstown State and Green Bay on Friday (there are no games on Wednesday or Thursday). Detroit is 1-1 against Youngstown State and 2-0 against Green Bay this season.
