After landing a No. 4 seed in the 2012 NCAA tournament, Michigan is set to face Ohio, the No. 13 seed in the Midwest Region, in its first game. The Wolverines and Ohio will meet on Friday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Michigan made the Big Dance as an at-large team. The Wolverines were knocked out of the 2012 Big Ten tournament by Ohio State in the semifinals, but thanks to a 24-9 overall record, they have their highest seed in the NCAA tournament since being a No. 3 seed in 1998 (that year they won the Big Ten tournament).

Ohio made the Big Dance after winning the MAC tournament. The Bobcats finished with a 27-7 record and will now to get play Michigan, the team that refers to Ohio State as simply "Ohio." This should be a funny storyline to follow as the game nears.

Here's a look at the Midwest Region of the 2012 NCAA tournament bracket:

No. 1 North Carolina vs. No. 16 Lamar OR Vermont (Friday)

No. 8 Creighton vs. No. 9 Alabama (Friday)

No. 5 Temple vs. No. 12 California OR South Florida (Friday)

No. 4 Michigan vs. No. 13 Ohio (Friday)

No. 2 Kansas vs. No. 15 Detroit (Friday)

No. 7 Purdue vs. No. 10 Saint Mary's (Friday)

No. 3 Georgetown vs. No. 14 Belmont (Friday)

No. 6 San Diego State vs. No. 11 NC State (Friday)
