The second half of the First Four was completed on Wednesday night, meaning the field of teams in the 2012 NCAA tournament is down to 64. The field was cut to 66 on Tuesday, and now with Thursday's games set to begin, only 64 teams remain.

In similar fashion to the games on Tuesday, there wasn't much entertainment in the first half of either one of them. Unlike the games on Tuesday, the ones on Wednesday never got entertaining. There were no comebacks, and in fact, both games were won by comfortable margins.

In the first game on Wednesday, Vermont beat Lamar by a score of 71-59. The Catamounts were up nine at halftime, and although Lamar had a better second half, the game was never really close in the final 20 minutes.

The second game of the night was even uglier. South Florida won 65-54 over California, which managed only 13 points in the first half. USF was up 36-13 at halftime, and the game was not even worth watching after a few minutes.
