The Detroit Pistons don't have all that many wins this season. But when they do win, the victories tend to come in streaks.
Detroit will try to add to one of those streaks Thursday against the Washington Wizards.
The Pistons, 20-33, have won two straight, downing the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday (110-107 OT) and the Orlando Magic on Tuesday (102-95).
The Pistons won two straight last week, as well, and three straight in early-March. They also had four- and three-game winning streaks in February; only four of their wins this season weren't part of a streak.
Greg Monroe had 22 points (off 11 field goal attempts) and 11 rebounds against Orlando on Tuesday. After some relatively pedestrian performances in March -- eight points and nine rebounds against Phoenix, five points and six rebounds against Miami -- Monroe is averaging a solid 17.3 points and 10 rebounds over his last three.
Ben Gordon returned against Orlando after missing three straight games with a bum shoulder. He went 7-13 for 18 points, and added six rebounds and seven assists.
Washington, 12-42, is riding a streak of their own, having lost three straight and eight of nine.
Detroit and Washington split their first two games and won't play again after Thursday's contest.
Tip is set for 7:30 ET.
