Frozen Four 2012: Ferris State To Play Boston College In Final

The Ferris State Bulldogs have put together quite a showing to quiet the doubters during their run to the final in the 2012 NCAA Hockey Tournament. Their most recent 3-1 win over Union was just another good, effective game from the Bulldogs like the type they used to get over the Denver Pioneers in the first round.

They found out later on Thursday who their opponent for the final would be, from a battle between one of the best offenses so far in the tournament and one of the best defenses in the tournament. In the end, Boston College put together a better offensive performance than usual and allowed their first but only goal of the tournament in order to beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The final will be a tough one for Ferris State as they face the Eagles, one of the favorites from the outset. They've only allowed a single goal all tournament -- that being the one that the Gophers scored in the 6-1 rout -- so Ferris State's effective but slow to score offense will need to be at the top of their game if they want to pull off the upset.
