It took a pair of extra holes to decide a victor, but in the end it was Bubba Watson who took home the coveted green jacket as 2012 Masters champion in a playoff over Louis Oosthuizen
Watson will take home an estimated $1.44 million for his strong play, as he continues to come to grips with the single greatest moment of his professional golfing career. Watson could barely hold back his emotions in interviews after the win, and became the fifth lefthanded golfer in the last ten Masters tournaments to leave Augusta with a victory.
Behind Watson and Oosthuizen on the leaderboard sits a quartet of contenders that didn't quite get over the hump on Sunday. Peter Hanson, Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and Matt Kuchar each finished two strokes off the lead at 8-under in a tie for third place.
