Detroit Grand Prix 2012: Race, Slew Of Events Set For June 1-3

The Detroit Grand Prix returns to Belle Isle Park this weekend. Here's a look at the races and the handful of events taking place all week.

The Detroit Grand Prix will be held this weekend at the Belle Isle Park road course.

The festivities will run from June 1-3, with different events each day. According to the event's website, the docket looks like this:

Friday, June 1
IZOD IndyCar Series practice, GRAND-AM Rolex Series practice and qualifying, Pirelli World Challenge Series practice, Firestone Indy Lights Series practice

Saturday, June 2
IZOD IndyCar Series practice and qualifying, GRAND-AM Rolex Series practice and race, Pirelli World Challenge Series qualifying and race #1, Firestone Indy Lights Series qualifying and race, IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights autograph session

Sunday, June 3
IZOD IndyCar Series warm-up and race, Pirelli World Challenge Series race #2.

An hour-by-hour schedule of activities -- which began Wednesday -- is available here.

Sunday's race will be televised on ABC, with the start time set for 3:30 p.m. ET.

Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh has been named Grand Marshal.
