On Monday, the third grand slam event of the year will begin as the 2012 Wimbledon Championship will get underway on the grass courts in London. No. 1 seeded Novak Djokovic will return to defend his championship as he faces Juan Carlos Ferrero, a former No. 1 who will not be an easy opening round opponent.

Roger Federer will begin play against Albert Ramos as he attempts to collect his seventh championship at Wimbledon. As the bracket stands now, it is already being speculated that Federer will have to challenge No. 10 seeded Jason Isner in the quarterfinal, but that only has a chance of happening if Isner can get past Nicolas Mahut in the second round (Isner and Mahut played each other in the longest match in tennis history back in 2010).

Fresh off his win at Roland Garros, Rafael Nadal will open the tournament against Thomaz Bellucci, while Andy Murray has drawn Nikolay Davydenko in what may be the toughest first round match among the top seeds.

In addition to the big name competitors, Detroit native Michael Russell will look to make a dent in the tournament draw as he opens against Adrian Menendez-MacEiras of Spain.

You can view the full men's seedings and bracket at the official Wimbledon website.
