Detroit Grand Prix 2012: Start Time, TV Schedule And More

The field for the Detroit Grand Prix on Belle Isle Park is set to run on Sunday afternoon. The 25-car field will be led to the starting line by pole sitter Scott Dixon who posted a record qualifying lap on the 2.07-mile street circuit with the top speed of 105.978 m.p.h.

IZOD Indy Car Series points leader Will Power will be filling up Dixon's mirrors at the start of the race, as the strong road and street course racer looks to extend his points lead with his fourth win in 2012. It will be interesting to see how long Dixon can hold off Power on the 14-turn circuit.
