There's much excitement for the 2012 running of the Belmont Stakes, with the racing world abuzz about a potential Triple Crown winner in I'll Have Another. It's been a wild run for the horse who came from behind to overtake Bodemeister in the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.
He'll have to do something similar this time out, though. While Bodemeister won't be in action for the Belmont, I'll Have Another will have plenty of horses to pass up once the final leg of the Triple Crown gets set. The post positions have been released in full and the horse has a tough draw. Below, we've got the full list:
- Street Life
- Unstoppable U
- Union Rags
- Ravelo's Boy
- Five Sixteen
- Guyana Star Dweej
- I'll Have Another
- My Adonis
That's right - I'll Have Another is all the way down at No. 11, which is a tough draw but obviously fits in with the horse's racing style. Will we see another come-from-behind victory so I'll Have Another can get the Triple Crown? It's looking much tougher than the first two legs this time out.
Dullahan is the favorite outside of I'll Have Another, and the horse drew a solid position at No. 5, so things are getting a bit more interesting.
