Early in third-round play in the U.S. Senior Open Championship at Indianwood Golf Club in Lake Orion, Mich, three players are in the clubhouse with four-under-par rounds of 66 and several others at 67 and 68. Europeans Peter Senior and Peter Fowler, along with U.S. golfer Mike Goodes, posted early scores of 66 on Saturday.
Andrew Magee shot a 67 and Michael Allen, Jerry Pate and Gary Hallberg finished their third round at 2-under 68.
The last couple of pairings are just getting set to tee off, with most of the field out on the course.
Notable rounds thus far are Tom Watson at 2-under through 14, John Cook at 3-under through 11 and Peter Jacobsen at 1-under through 11.
Lance Ten Broeck was the leader after two rounds at 6-under 134. Bernhard Langer and Tom Kitewere one shot back of Ten Broeck going into weekend play.
