2012 U.S. Senior Open: Bernhard Langer Takes 5-Shot Lead At The Turn In 3rd Round

German Bernhard Langer is six shots under par through 12 holes and has taken a three-stroke lead in the third round of the U.S. Senior Open Championship being played at Indianwood Golf Club outside of Detroit. The leader after Friday's second round, Lance Ten Broeck, is one over through 11 holes on Saturday and has fallen back into a tie for fifth at five under par for the tournament.

Fred Couples has the best round of the day so far, shooting a five-under 65 in Saturday's third round. Couples is five shots back of the leader currently.

Three players - Peter Fowler, Peter Senior and Mike Goodes - fired rounds of 66 on Saturday. All three are currently tied for 19th with three-round scores of 210, Other notable rounds in Saturday play at the Senior Championship: Tom Watson shot an even-par 70. he is at 210, tied for 28th. Tom Pernice is five-under for the day after 17.Pernice is currently tied for second with Cory Pavin, two shots back of Langer.
