The Detroit Tigers are coming off a four-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays on the road where they won three out of four. Now they return to the friendly confines of Comerica Park to face the Minnesota Twins, which are in last place in the AL Central.

Detroit is looking to gain ground on the Chicago White Sox, which are currently sitting in first place in the division, and the series with the Twins presents the best opportunity for them to do so.

Pitcher Doug Fister is the projected starter for the Tigers on Monday night. He'll be looking to improve on his 1-5 record this season. First pitch will take place at 7:05 p.m. EDT.
