Wimbledon 2012: Novak Djokovic Advances To Quarterfinals

On Monday, Novak Djokovic advanced to the Quarterfinal round of the 2012 Wimbledon Tournament by defeating Viktor Troicki in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3.

Djokovic eliminated Troicki with relative ease, as the tournament's No. 1 seed defeated his fellow countryman by scoring on 81 percent of eligible first serves for the match and notching 31 winners to his opponent's 15. He won six of his eight break point opportunities and was broken just once in three sets.

The commanding win acts as a signal to the rest of the field that Djokovic is the man to beat in this year's tournament, as he is looking to defend his win at the 2011 Wimbledon tournament.
