The 2012 FedEx Cup postseason begins this week with The Barclays at Bethpage State Park's black course in Farmingdale, New York, bringing elite golfers from all over the world. With a $10 million purse being the ultimate prize of the FedEx Cup, the sport's top talent is always present for these tournaments.
At the moment, two-time champion Tiger Woods is the current points leader in the FedEx Cup scoring system, ahead of second-place Jason Dufner and third-place Rory McIlroy, who is coming off an impressive victory at the 2012 PGA Championship.
Tom Gillis, a native of Pontiac, Mich., is also a part of this year's Barclays field. The 44-year-old has never won a PGA tournament before, although he has victories on other tours. Last year, Dustin Johnson won The Barclays at Plainfield Country Club, which lasted just 54 holes due to Hurricane Irene.
