London Olympics 2012: Jalen Rose Doesn't Want You To Call U.S. Gymnasts 'The Fab Five'

Jalen Rose wants you to know that there is only one Fab Five and it is not the U.S. women's gymnastics team.

It turns out Jalen Rose is protective of the 'Fab Five' name. The former Michigan Wolverine is evidently not okay with media referring to the United States women's gymnastics team with his team's famous moniker.

He had some pointed words for those who have repurposed the name, via Jamie Samuelsen of 97.1 Detroit:

"To use the nickname just points and screams of lazy journalism by the national media, that's really what it is," Rose said. "It's no fault at all of the young gymnasts. But I really wish they would have come up with an even more creative tag for them and their gold medal pursuit."

Rose is currently working as an analyst for ESPN during the Olympics.
