Louis Delmas Injury: Detroit Lions Safety Has Surgical Procedure On Knee

There's been a couple of injury problems running rampant through the Detroit Lions since training camp began recently, and it looks like there has been another victim.

According to the Lions website, safety Louis Delmas has been sidelined after getting a surgical procedure on his knee, though not because of anything related to the injury that he suffered last Thanksgiving Day.

Prior to Wednesday’s morning practice, the Detroit Lions confirmed that safety Louis Delmas had a surgical procedure performed on his left knee by Dr. James Andrews.

After participating at the outset of camp, Delmas was held out of some practices last week and has not participated this week.

No more details have been provided by the Lions thus far about the injury, though losing a player in their already shaky secondary for any length of time won't be a great thing for the team with preseason games coming right around the corner.
