2012 marks the third time in team history that the Tigers have broken that mark for home attendance. The Tigers are the ninth team to break that mark this year, following the Phillies, Yankees, Giants, Rangers, Dodgers, Red Sox, Angels, and Cardinals.
Now with a 1½-game lead over the White Sox for the AL Central, the Tigers are in position to add some more to that number in the playoffs. Before that, however, they end the season with six straight on the road against the Twins and the Royals.
