The 2012 BMW Championship in Carmel, Ind., features some of the top players in golf, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlory, Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood. Those players, and a host of others, have shown up for what is the third of four FedEx Cup events in 2012. Lake Orion-native Tom Gillis will also be competing in the event, and he'll be looking for his first career win on tour.
Oddsmakers are leaning toward the usual suspects. McIlory enters Wednesday with 13/2 odds to win, making him a slight favorite over Tiger Woods, who checks in at 7/1. Dustin Johnson is third at 20/1 odds. Defending champion Justin Rose is in at 40/1 odds, so a repeat victory for him would be a bit of a surprise to Vegas.
The event will be televised on the Golf Channel, with NBC picking up coverage on Saturday and Sunday.
