BMW Championship Leaderboard: Tiger Woods And Rory McIlroy Saga Continues

At the top of the leaderboard at the 2012 BMW Championship are some familiar names, all of whom are vying for the FedEx Cup. While Vijay Singh holds the tournament lead after two rounds in Carmel, Ind., both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are just one stroke behind as the tournament reaches the weekend.

Woods and McIlroy, the two golfers tied for the lead in FedEx Cup event wins at three, have played evenly throughout the tournament, although it was Woods that shot one stroke better than McIlroy on Friday. Birdies on three of the last four holes aided Woods in his ascension up the leaderboard, while an eagle on No. 9 and six birdies helped McIlroy salvage a strong round despite four bogeys.

Singh has played consistently thus far in the tournament, shooting 7-under on Thursday and 6-under on Friday to hold on to the tournament lead, although he is No. 49 in the FedEx Cup standings.
