BMW Championship 2012: Phil Mickelson Rockets Up The Leaderboard, Join Vijay Singh At The Top

The third round of the 2012 BMW Championship has been completed, and Vijay Singh has been joined atop the leaderboard by Phil Mickelson. Mickelson began the round five storkes off the lead, but after a fantastic 8-under par round he is now level with Vijay Singh at 16-under for the tournament. Singh had a solid round of his own, shooting 3-under par for the day.

Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy are sitting one stroke back at 15-under, and there are a trio of golfers including Robert Garigus, Adam Scott, and Dustin Johnson sitting at 14-under for the tournament. Tiger Woods began the third round only a single stroke back, but his 1-under seventy one will see him start the final round three strokes off the lead.

The final round of the 2012 BMW Championship is scheduled to tee off at 8:05 a.m. ET. Vijay Singh and Phil Mickelson will be the final pairing of the tournament, and they are scheduled to tee off at 1:45 p.m ET.
