Rory McIlroy put together a solid Sunday round to defeat the field at the 2012 BMW Championship with a score of 20-under par.
McIlroy jumped Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh who began the day tied for the lead. Singh faded down the stretch shooting one-over on Sunday and finished in eighth. Mickelson couldn't keep up with McIlroy and finished in second place at 18-under.
Bubba Watson was the hottest of all on Sunday, shooting seven-under par, but he finished at 12-under for the tournament.
McIlroy shot five-under for the day, and has now won his second tournament in as many weeks. This was his sixth on the PGA tour and his third in the last month. He now has 12 total wins between tours.
