The Eastern Michigan Eagles have struggled badly of late, but they can turn the tides in a big way when they visit the Kentucky Wildcats at Rupp Arena on Wednesday night. The Eagles went just 2-4 in December, losing blowout games to then-No. 2 Michigan, then-No. 4 Syracuse and UIC, but they're still 7-5 overall this season.
After beginning the season ranked in the top 5, the year's Kentucky squad has proven to be less impressive than last year's national champions, which boasted the likes of Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. The Wildcats are just 8-4 this season, including back-to-back losses against Baylor and Notre Dame a few weeks ago.
Typically one of the most difficult places to play in the country, Rupp Arena has already seen the Wildcats lose twice this season. The Eagles have struggled badly away from home all season, though, posting an 0-4 record this season in games away from Ypsilanti.
Wednesday's game begins at 6 p.m. ET from Lexington, and will be broadcast by ESPNU.
