On Thursday, invites were released for the 2013 NFL Combine, set to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. Four members of the Michigan State Spartans, along with one electrifying former quarterback of the Michigan Wolverines, showed up on the list.
Representing the Spartan defense are senior cornerback Johnny Adams and junior defensive end William Gholston. Adams tallied 35 total tackles with a sack and three interceptions in 2012, while Gholston racked up 4.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss (59 total tackles), and a forced fumble.
For the Michigan State offense, junior running back Le'Veon Bell and junior tight end Dion Sims were also invited to Indianapolis. Bell rushed for 1,793 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2012, while Sims caught 36 passes for 475 yards and two touchdowns for the Spartans.
Quarterback Denard Robinson was Michigan's constant home run threat and focal point offensively for three seasons, capping off his career with the Wolverines in 2012 by throwing for 1,319 yards, nine touchdowns and nine interceptions while also rushing for 1,266 yards and seven touchdowns. Robinson worked out as a wide receiver in the Senior Bowl.
