NFL Mock Draft 2013: Lions select Ziggy Ansah in latest mock

SB Nation's latest mock draft has the Lions taking DE Ziggy Ansah out of BYU.

USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Lions enter the 2013 NFL Draft with well-established needs on both defensive and offensive line. They lost Cliff Avril and Gosder Cherlius to free agency, and Jeff Backus unexpectedly retired, opening up another hole on the line. Most draftniks expect them to take one of the best linemen available at the top of the draft.

SB Nation's Matthew Fairburn released his latest mock draft on Monday, and he has the Lions selecting BYU DE Ezekiel Ansah:

Ezekiel Ansah has been my pick at this spot for the last month or so. With the Lions having a huge need at defensive end, and the coaching staff having a chance to work closely with Ansah at the Senior Bowl, this pick makes too much sense.

Ansah is one of the most raw prospects in this year's draft, but he also has the highest ceiling. It's the ultimate high-risk, high-reward pick.

If Detroit chooses to reload the offensive line, they could have their pick of Luke Joeckel or Eric Fisher, depending on what happens in the four spots above them.
